By spending 1 point from your Ki Pool as a free action, you can make one additional unarmed strike when using your Flurry of Blows. This bonus attack stacks with all bonus attacks gained from your Flurry of Blows, as well as those from a Haste spell and similar effects. You do not need to be proficient in unarmed attacks to use this trait, but this trait alone does not grant you proficiency in unarmed strikes.
