Prerequisite: Devout Follower or Patron
Cost: 7 Points
The Divine Weapon Bond allows you to enhance your weapon as a single action by calling upon the aid of a celestial spirit for a number of minutes equal to your Proficiency Score per 24 hours. These do not need to be consecutive but must be spent in one minute increments. Your weapon must have a rune or power crystal. When called, the spirit causes the weapon to shed light as a torch or darkness (i.e. removes light from an area as a type of inverse torch) which is determined once, when you first take the trait.
The Divine Weapon trait increases its benefits based on your Proficiency Score. For every 2 points more in your Proficiency Score (based on when you first take this), the spirit grants the weapon a +1 Item bonus, to a maximum of +6. The bonus can instead be used to add any of the following weapon properties: Autonomous (+3), Axiomatic (+3), Disrupting (+1), Flaming (+2), Frost (+2), Blessed (+3), Keen (+3), Morality (+3), and Speed (+4). However, you must be able to apply the bonus listed next to the weapon property to gain the property. When adding a weapon property, you do not gain the Item bonus. These bonuses and properties are added to any the weapon already has but duplicate properties do not stack. If the weapon is not mystical, at least a +1 Power Crystal must be added before any other properties can be added. The bonus and properties granted by the spirit are determined when the spirit is called and cannot be changed until the spirit is called again. The celestial spirit imparts no bonuses if the weapon is held by anyone who does not also have the Divine Weapon Bond but resumes giving bonuses if returned to anyone who does.
If a weapon with the Divine Weapon Bond is destroyed, you lose the use of this ability for 30 days, or until your Proficiency Score goes up one, whichever comes first. During this 30-day period, you take disadvantage on attack rolls.
