Spell: Charm ~ Level 1

  • Range: 30 feet
  • Target: 1 humanoid creature
  • Duration: 1 hour per Proficiency Score (D)
  • Save: Will save

To the target, your words are honey and your visage bathed in a dreamy haze. It must attempt a Will Save, with advantage if you or your allies recently threatened it or acted hostile. On a failure, the target becomes friendly towards you. If it was friendly, it becomes helpful. It cannot act hostile toward you.

You can dismiss Charm with a single action. If you act hostile to the target, the spell ends. When the spell ends, the target does not necessarily realize it was under a Charm spell unless its friendship with you or the actions you persuaded it to take clash with its expectations. Charm is on the Arcane and Occult Spell Lists.

Heighten (+3): Change who you can target with higher level spell slots.

Level 4 Spell Slot and higher. You can target any creature, not just humanoids.

Level 7 Spell Slot and higher. You can target up to 10 creatures of any kind.
