Spell: Detect Magic ~ Cantrip

You send out a magical pulse that registers the presence of magic. You receive no information beyond presence or absence of magic. You can choose to ignore magic you are fully aware of, such as you and your allies’ magic items and ongoing spells. You detect Illusion magic only if that magic has a lower level than your Detect Magic spell. However, items that have an Illusion aura but are not deceptive in appearance, such as an Invisibility spell, typically get detected normally. Detect Magic is on all Spell Lists.

Heighten (+2): Gain more information.

Proficiency Score 4 and higher. You learn the school of magic and the location within 5 feet for the highest level effect within range that has the magical tag. If multiple effects are equally strong, the GM determines which you learn about.

Proficiency Score 8 and higher. You can determine what the spell or other source of the effect is with a successful Arcana as if Identifying a Spell.
