abjuration, magical
- Casting Time: 2 reactions; Somatic and Verbal
- Trigger: an effect is created, or an object is activated within range with the magical tag
- Range: 50 feet
- Target: 1 effect or unattended object with the magical tag
Make a Dispel attempt against the target. If you succeed against the effect, you dispel it. If you succeed against a magic item, the item becomes a mundane item of its type for 10 minutes. This does not change the item’s quality. If the target is an artifact or similarly powerful item, you automatically fail.
You can cast Dispel Magic with two actions instead of reactions. When cast with two actions, the spell does not require the trigger requirement to be met but all other features of the spell remain the same.
Dispel Magic is on all Spell Lists.
