Your undead influence is from some event that killed you. For some reason, though, you remain behind on the Material Plane and your death occasionally impacts your life. Every time you interact with an object (objects that you died with or have carried for 24 hours do not count) you must roll a 1d20. The first Flat DC is 1. For each success, the DC increases by 1. Once you fail the check, the Flat DC resets to 1. It proceeds to increase like before until you fail again.
