Grit

Cost: 6 Points

You make your mark upon the world with daring deeds. The maximum number of points of Grit you have are equal to your Proficiency Score + one of the following ability score modifiers: Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution. All your Grit Points are replenished to maximum after a Long Rest. After a Short Rest, you gain a quarter of your total back, rounded down with a minimum of 1.

Additionally, accomplishing certain tasks restores Grit Points, though the total number you have at any given time cannot exceed the maximum number.

Critical Hit with an Attack: Each time you get a critical on an attack roll, you regain 1 Grit Point. This does not occur if the target of your Strike has the Asleep, Immobile, Paralyzed, Petrified, Stunned, or Unconscious conditions or you have the Concealed, Invisible, or Sensed conditions.

Killing Blow: When you inflict the Dying condition on a creature with a Strike, you regain 1 Grit point. This does not occur if the target of your Strike has the Asleep, Immobile, Paralyzed, Petrified, Stunned, or Unconscious conditions or you have the Concealed, Invisible, or Sensed conditions.
