You make your mark upon the world with daring deeds. Grit is a fluctuating measure of your ability to perform amazing actions in combat. The number of points in your Grit Points are equal to your Proficiency Score + your Constitution Modifier. The number of points you have can go up and down between Long Rests, but usually cannot go higher than your full total. You use grit to accomplish various tasks and regain the points in the following ways.
Critical Hit with an Attack: Each time you get a critical hit with an attack while in the heat of combat, you regain 1 Grit Point. Gaining a critical hit on a helpless or unaware creature does not restore grit.
Killing Blow: When you reduce a creature to 0 or fewer hit points with an attack while in the heat of combat, you regain 1 Grit point. Destroying an unattended object or reducing a helpless or unaware creature to 0 or fewer hit points does not restore any grit.
