Iron Flask

conjuration, magical

  • Price: 11,000 silvers
  • Bulk: L
  • Hands: 1 or 2 (opening)
  • Slot: –

These special containers are typically inlaid with runes of silver and stoppered by a brass plug bearing a seal engraved with sigils, glyphs, and special symbols. When the user speaks the command word as a single action, they can force any creature from another plane into the container, provided that creature fails a DC 45 Will save. Only one creature at a time can be so contained and removing the stopper frees the captured creature.

If the individual freeing the captured creature speaks the command word as a single action, the creature can be forced to serve for an hour. This command word can be used only once per 24 hours. If freed without the command word, the creature acts according to its natural inclinations. Any attempt to force the same creature into the flask a second time if freed without a command word provides lowers the DC to 35, provides the creature advantage on its save, and makes it hostile. An iron flask is a very rare item.
