Spell: Lock ~ Level 1

The target’s latch mechanism clinks shut, held fast by unseen magical restraints. You magically lock the target, causing any use of Thievery to open the target to take disadvantage. Any key or combination that once opened a lock affected by this spell no longer does so for the duration of the spell. If the lock is opened, the spell is dismissed. Assuming the target is not barred in some other way, you, as the caster, can unlock and open the target by spending a Somatic Casting action during which you touch the latch. Doing so does not dismiss the spell. You can dismiss the spell at any time and from any distance with a Verbal Casting action. Lock is on the Arcane and Occult Spell Lists.

Heighten (+2): Using a Level 3 Spell Slot and higher, the duration increases to indefinite. This adds a Material Casting action and expend 30 silver worth of gold dust as an additional cost.
