Rune: Morality

evocation, integrity, magical

  • Price: 4,000 silvers
  • Bonus Value: +3

A weapon with this rune has the Integrity tag and deals 1d6 additional damage against creatures with the Honor tag. When you make a critical hit against a creature with the Honor tag, you can activate this rune as a free action and add one extra weapon damage die, after doubling for the critical hit, and all your weapon damage dice are treated as the maximum result on an even roll and treated as a 1 on an odd roll.

For example, if your attack with a +3 Morality Great Sword is a critical hit you roll 4d12 normally, doubled to 8d12 for the critical hit and add one more for 9d12. On the roll, you get a 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, 10, and 12, then the 2, 4, 8, 10, 10, and 12 would each be treated as a 12, and the 3, 5, and 7 would each be treated as a 1, for a total of 75 damage.

If you are Honor aligned or have the Honor tag, you are Enfeebled 2 while carrying or wielding this weapon. A morality rune is a rare item.

Special: The weapon this is attach to cannot have an Axiomatic rune. If it is attached to a weapon with the Axiomatic rune, both the Axiomatic and Morality runes gain the Broken condition.

Craft Requirements: You must be Integrity aligned or have the Integrity tag.
