Orc

Orcs respect strength and power as the highest virtues. Many orc societies are built around the strongest holding power – whether this definition of the strongest is defined by physical might or intellectual prowess is often determined by the specific cultures. Their small communities are often well organized with each member hold specific roles that are best suited towards them. To those outside their communities, this might come across as some members being lazier than others but that is a complete falsehood. Because they give tasks to the members best suited for them, they have highly efficient communities.

Physical Description: Powerfully built, orcs typically stand just a few inches taller than the average ancestry but have much greater muscle mass. They often have broad shoulders and thick, brawny hips. They typically have skin that ranges from dark green to bright emerald, dark hair, and protruding, tusk-like teeth.

Orcs reach adulthood around 18, with middle age at 35 and old age around 53. The most venerable of this ancestry live into their 70s.

Orcs are sexual dimorphic, with the average height of males around six feet and females a couple inches shorter. Their body mass is similar, making most females weigh slightly less than males.

Society: Orcs’ society is highly structured around daily tasks but also competitions of strength or arms and mind. Given their efficiency, they often have the time to hold such celebrations which allow members to exhibit their skills.

Relations: Orcs admire strength above all things. Even members of other ancestries can sometimes win an orc’s respect, or at least tolerance, if they display great talent.

Orcs often dismiss halflings as a lesser ancestry but individuals of the other ancestry have time and again won their way into orc society through their hardwork and simple way of life. Orcs view humans as race of sheep with a few wolves living in their midst. Yet orcs also give many human built societies a wide berth. Animousity between the two ancestries runs deep often for various reasons (in Edinose this is commonly though to go all the way back to the centries of Abyssal taint when many wrongly blamed the orc ancestry for allowing the armies of hordes to remain). The two ancestries have rarely seen eye to eye.

Alignment and Religion: While they have highly organized societies, they do not hold honor and loyalty has high traits – seeing them as many ancestries do as traits of individuals but not sought after by every member of the ancestry.

In Edinose, orcs pray to Anboleyn, Esella, and Zinibayne.

Adventurers: Given the instability of the worlds most orcs do not elect to leave their homes. Often it is after disgrace or for their own survival that they choose to seek a life beyond their communities.
