The scarab’s possessor gains Resistance 10 against damage from effects with the magical tag. The scarab can also absorb any effects with the death or negative tags automatically. Upon absorbing 12 such attacks, the scarab turns to powder and is destroyed. A scarab of protection is a rare item.
