Spell: Shield ~ Cantrip

You raise a magical shield of force to protect you. You gain a +1 Item bonus to AC until the start of your next turn. While the spell is in effect, you can also use the Raise Shield as a reaction, instead of an action, with your magic shield. The shield has Hardness 5. After you use Raise Shield, the spell is dismissed. You can use the spell’s reaction against the Magic Missile spell to reduce the force damage. Shield is on the Arcane, Divine, and Occult Spell Lists.

Heighten (+2): For each of the listed Proficiency Scores (4, 8,12,16, 20) when half of the Score equals a Heighted Cantrip Spell Level (2, 4, 6, 8, 10), increase the Item bonus by 1 and the Hardness by 10.

Proficiency Score 4, 5, 6, or 7. The Item bonus to AC increases to +2 and the Hardness of the shield increases to 15.

Proficiency Score 8, 9, 10, or 11. The Item bonus to AC increases to +3 and the Hardness of the shield increases to 25.

Proficiency Score 12, 13, 14, or 15. The Item bonus to AC increases to +4 and the Hardness of the shield increases to 35.

Proficiency Score 16, 17, 18, or 19. The Item bonus to AC increases to +5 and the Hardness of the shield increases to 45.

Proficiency Score 20 and higher. The Item bonus to AC increases to +6 and the Hardness of the shield increases to 55.
