A wave of deathly energy washes along the line of the spell. All creature with Proficiency Score 17 or lower must make a Fortitude save or take 120 damage. On a success a creature takes a number of d6s negative damage equal to half your Proficiency Score, on a failure a creature takes the full 120 damage, and on critical failure a creature dies. If the damage a creature takes from Massacre reduces it to 0 Hit Points, they die.
If Massacre does not reduce any creature to death, it explodes back along the line. In this second wave it automatically deals 40 damage to every creature in its path, including you. This second wave does not instantly kill a creature if that creature is reduced to 0 Hit Points. Massacre is on the Arcane, Divine, and Primal Spell Lists.
Heighten (+1): Using a Level 10 Spell Slot, increase the full damage from the first wave to 150 and the damage on the second wave to 50.
