You lay a curse on the target, sapping its spirit and leaving a contagious trap in its spiritual essence for those who contact it. The results depend on the target’s Will save. On a successful save the target is inflicted with the Stupefied 2 condition for a round, on a failure the target is inflicted with the Stupefied 2 condition for a minute and gains the Stupefied 1 condition permanently, and on a critical failure the target is inflicted with the Stupefied 3 condition for a minute and gains the Stupefied 2 condition permanently. Any creature that casts a spell from the Divine or Occult Spell Lists on the target while they are affected by the non-permanent Stupefied condition must also attempt a Will save as if targeted by Spiritual Epidemic. The curse continues to spread in this way. If a spell is on either the Divine or Occult Spell Lists and the Arcane or Primal Spell Lists, Spiritual Epidemic is only triggered if the caster uses the Divine or Occult Spell Lists for their Spellcasting Source.
