You can spend 1 Grit point to Take 10 on any skill check that is not incurring penalties and which includes your Strength or Dexterity Modifiers. To Take 10 means that you can choose to forgo a 1d20 roll and instead treat the check as if you had rolled a 10 on the 1d20.
Alternatively, you to spend 1 Grit point to gain advantage on any skill check that includes your Strength or Dexterity Modifier.
