Power: Tempt Fate

  • Casting Time: free action; Somatic
  • Trigger: You or an ally within range attempts a saving throw
  • Range: 120 feet
  • Target: the triggering creature

You tempt fate and cause the triggering save to either be the best or the worst result. If the saving throw is a success, it becomes a critical success but if the saving throw is a failure, it becomes a critical failure. A critical failure when using Tempt Fate, even one that is turned into a critical failure, cannot be reduced by any abilities that usually reduce the effects, such as Improved Evasion. If the triggering save does not have both a critical success and critical failure condition, Tempt Fate fails, and your Power Point is refunded.
