This amulet, often in the shape of a shield or scale, has a dull gleam. It imparts the benefits of the Shield spell to the wearer. The wearer gains the listed Item bonus as a constant to AC. If they spend a reaction, they gain a magical shield for a round that has the listed Hardness. If the wearer is hit with the shield active, they reduce the damage by the Hardness and then the shield vanishes until this is activated again with another reaction. The exact benefits and price depend on the quality. Unless otherwise listed, an amulet of natural armor is an uncommon item.
- Lesser (600 silvers). The spell is cast at 2nd level, granting a +2 Item bonus to AC. The shield has Hardness 9 and can be used even against effects with the force tag.
- Basic (2,100 silvers). The spell is cast at 4th level, granting a +3 Item bonus to AC. The shield has Hardness 14 and can be used even against effects with the force tag. This item is rare.
- Greater (4,100 silvers). The spell is cast at 6th level, granting a +4 Item bonus to AC. The shield has Hardness 19 and can be used even against effects with the force tag. This item is rare.
