This stone chip, when given the command word as an action, affixes itself to any object or doorway. If the object is touched or the door passed through thereafter by anyone who does not first speak that same command word, the stone emits a piercing screech for an hour that can be heard up to a quarter of mile away, assuming no intervening barriers. Another command word releases the stone and allows it to be reused. A stone of alarm is a common item.
