Fashioned of dark brown or black cloth, this cloak bestows a 1d8 Insight bonus on Stealth checks and the wearer is able to hang upside down from the ceiling like a bat. By holding the edges of the garment, the wearer is able use the Fly spell an unlimited number of times with restrictions. If they desire, the wearer can actually polymorph themself into an ordinary bat and fly accordingly, as per the Aerial Form spell.
Flying, either with the cloak or in bat form, can be accomplished only in darkness, either under the night sky or in a lightless or near-lightless environment underground. A cloak of the bat is a very rare item.
Crafting Requirements: You must supply a casting of both Fly and Aerial Form.
