2025-2026 Language Mentors
Most languages taught at Mount Holyoke College have mentors who offer weekly Language Open Hours to the MHC students in the Language & Culture Commons in Ciruti.
Mentors have met the language departments’ criteria for language proficiency. They are trained at the start of each semester and continue to develop their language assistance skills through guided reflection, exploration, and study activities.

Hallo! I’m Benedikta and I’m in my 6th semester of studying American Studies and Politics. I’m a foreign exchange student from Leipzig, Germany. I’ve been working as the German Language Assistant since last semester which includes doing weekly language labs, open hours and a ‘Stammtisch’ where we practice our language skills in a super friendly environment and talk about anything German-related you’re interested in!

Hola, my name is Ev Brice (they/them), class of 2026 and a half, and I am a Spanish and FMT double major! I am from Delaware and have been studying Spanish since high school. Recently I studied abroad in Santiago, Chile and absolutely loved my time there. I enjoy talking about study abroad and everything to do with the Spanish Major!
