Power crystals were only recently discovered, along with some of their uses. They are the primary power source for mechanical creatures, along with augmentations to various equipment. Their effects depend on size, cut, and color. In order for special effects to work in weapons and armor, they must have a Potency Crystal as well of value or greater bonus value.
Power Crystals used in armor must be in contact with metal to operate. This metal does not have to be integral to the armor, for example, wire embedded in leather armor counts.

Using Power Crystals
Most crystals have constant effects that are always applied. However some crystals require activation. Most such activation takes a single action unless otherwise specified.
Crafting and Upgrading
In order to have a power crystal, beyond the potency crystal, the weapon or armor must have a potency crystal of equal bonus or higher. For example, a +1 longsword can also have the Disrupting, Lesser crystal. However, the same +1 longsword cannot have the Flaming, Lesser crystal.
An armor or weapon cannot benefit from more than one potency crystal and will only use the highest bonus, nor do multiple potency crystals increase the number of slots for other crystals. Similarly, an armor or weapon can only benefit from one other crystal besides the potency crystal.
Crystals can also be transferred between weapons and armor as long as they are following the same restrictions as written above. If any of the rules are broken, the crystals are lost. Transferring a power crystal requires the Jeweler Crafting trait and the DC will always be hard.
